About the Software
MangoO is a free and open-source software that small and medium Microfinance organizations can utilize for their everyday business management. It is approved and certified under the GNU General Public License GPLv3.
How to Get it?
For utilization, people can free download it from the Github repository page and install it. If your finance business is small, then you can use it for your Microfinance Business management. There are no charges set by the developer, Mr. Johannes Roskamp. Hence anyone can download and install it for free.
How the Software Developed?
The development was started in September 2014. The SACCO of Luweero Diocese is a Microfinance Organization in Uganda. They wanted to improve their microcredit services with computerization. It was developed to assist their small-scale MFI. Later in July 2015, the first version of this Microfinance Software was launched.
Features of MangoO
This free Microfinance Management Software is available on Github. It is completely based on web technology. You need access to the MySQL database and PHP-based web server to use it.PHP, MySQL, CSS, & JavaScript
It was written with PHP and a little bit CSS, and JavaScript. For the database connection, it has MySQL.
Run with Web Server
People need to set up a webserver to run it. They can use it locally or remotely. Clients can access this Microfinance loan Software with the help of any ordinary web browser.
Simple User Interface
The main purpose behind this software development was to create a simple user interface. It offers the highest flexibility in different types of situations.
Small in Size
MangoO Microfinance Business Management software is extremely small in size. You just need to download the 7 Mb file available in .zip, and .tar.gz format.
